Lisa, Aimy, Noah, Vincent and their friends are between 15 and 18 years old.
This year, during their improv theatre classes, love keeps sneaking into the games and exercises: butterflies in your stomach, the stress before a first date, parents barging in at the worst possible moment… But beneath the jokes and laughter, they’re all wrestling with the same question: How do you navigate your first time today ?

Nearly ten years after #MeToo, these teenagers have grown up hearing words like consent, respect and equality. At the same time, pornography, available in just a few clicks, has already shaped their fantasies, confronting them with mixed messages: between increasingly hardcore videos and the importance of consent, how are you actually supposed to behave?

This is also the generation of flirting through social media. Before they even meet in real life, they watch each other, test the waters, flirt and fantasize from behind their screens. But how do you take that step and connect for real?

Over the course of several months, Crush, Our First Times follows these teenagers through a moment in life when everything starts to shift. Some of them have already experienced their first time. Others hope this will be the year it finally happens.

Funny, raw and sometimes deeply moving, they pull us into their emotional impulses, excitement, fears, disappointments, bad experiences and hopes.

A film about “the first time”, or rather, about “first times.” Because for this generation, there’s no longer one single script for entering sexuality and relationships: everyone is figuring things out in their own way, inventing new ways to love, connect and discover themselves.
